Accounts Payable Assistant – UK

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSISTANT – CHISWICK, WEST LONDON

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join our dynamic Finance Team. Their aim is to help drive the Accounts Payable team forward, assist with the day to day management of the purchase ledger. What you’ll be doing:

  • Code and input invoices into the system
  • Liaise with suppliers and other members of staff to resolve queries
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Correspond with suppliers to clear debt or balances for monies owed to HN
  • Arrange payments when required by Telegraphic Transfer and BACS
  • Liaising with ebis approvers on invoice queries
  • Maintenance of staff ebis accounts
  • Maintenance of Staff credit card accounts
  • Maintenance of Aged Creditors Report, ensuring overdue accounts are cleared and negative balances chased in a timely manner
  • Maintaining DD accounts and matching all DDs to outstanding invoices
  • Logging HSBC statements and claim forms ensuring VAT is accurately accounted for
  • Chasing overdue expenses with credit card holders
  • Responsible for the archiving of documentation at the end of the financial year
  • Ensure all month end and year end processes are completed
  • To perform any relevant adhoc duties as requested by management

About your experience:

  • You will have previous experience in accounts payable
  • You will be able to work with foreign currencies
  • You will have an understanding of basic accounting procedures
  • You will have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You will be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Excel
  • You will have excellent time management skills
